Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu, GM office of Colleges & Institutes seeks the qualified applicant (Associate/Assistant Professor) for the post of Director Academic Planning & Quality Assurance. The Director of Academic Planning, Development & Quality Assurance is a key officer in the management of the affairs of the RC Colleges & Institutes Sector. He is responsible to the GM Colleges & Institutes Sector and must be able to provide the GM with appropriate and accurate information for decision making purposes on program development, academic planning and quality assurance matters.

  • Academic Planning & Development
  • Coordinate activities involved in the accreditation of Academic Programmes and Departments in the RC Colleges & Institutes.
  • Plan and contribute to the actual development of programmes.
  • Liaise, consult and negotiate with external bodies, MDs of RC C& I, and Departmental Chairmen to ensure that programmes are developed based on the needs, demands and relevancy of all stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate the accreditation processes among RC C&I.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Monitor and evaluate Academic Programmes and Departments for appropriate academic development planning purposes.
  • Prepare and publish regularly, statistical data on the various Colleges & Institutes of the RC
  • Establish a system for the management of programmes. Monitor progress in relation to quality enhancement.
  • Establish and operate a system for the quality assurance of programmes.
  • Address the processes of initiating a programme, the annual review of a programme, the periodic major review of a programme, the removal of programmes from the Colleges & Institutes, and the comparison of the programmes to external models and benchmarks.

Qualification :
  • Candidate must possess at least a Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Business Studies/Administration/Management, Education/Teaching/Training or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Coputer literate.
  • Preferred skill(s): MS office Suites.
  • At least 05 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Education or equivalent. Job role in Professor or Others.
  • Applicants are required to have a minimum of 5-10 years cognate experience in the Planning Unit of a recognized University not less than 5 of which must have been spent in top management position in the Planning Unit

  1. Sound knowledge of quality assurance, programme development and academic support provisions at university level.
  2. Knowledge of assessment policies related to standards, programme development and enhancement strategies in higher education.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: face to face, written and verbal.
  4. Excellent influencing, negotiating and ambassadorial skills.
  5. Conflict resolution and confidence building skills.
  6. Must be computer literate.
  7. 3 Full-Time positions available.
  8. Required language(s): English.
  9. Preferred language(s): Arabic.

Remuneration: In return, candidates are offered a highly competitive package consisting of the following: Secure two year renewable contract with a government institution. An extremely generous tax-free monthly salary paid in Saudi Riyals, depending on qualifications and relevant experience. Monthly inflation allowance (currently 15% of basic salary). Monthly transportation allowance. Free furnished accommodation, according to marital status. Free health care. Elementary and secondary school education for 2 dependent children. Free flights to Saudi Arabia, as well as annual air tickets to point of origin for vacation purposes. 60 days paid summer leave plus 2 short national holidays (of approximately 10 days each).
