The Oyu Tolgoi Project in Mongolia is a Greenfield project consisting of open pit and underground mines, concentrator and supporting infrastructure to produce high-grade copper and gold concentrates. A workforce of approx 3500 at steady state operation is planned.
The concentrator division includes the primary crusher, conventional concentrator, and the concentrate load out facility. The production rate through the plant is at a nameplate of 100,000 tonnes per day. Within three years of start-up plant throughput is expected to increase to 160,000 tonnes per day.
Superintendent Maintenance Planning - Concentrator - Ref: ULA0000S

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Maintenance Management Manager, the Superintendent Maintenance Planning - Concentrator has a leading and central role in the consistency and leading of all concentrator maintenance planning and engineering activities of the site from the primary crusher through the tailings storage facility.
This role will play an integral part in the development and implementation of strategic plans to optimise existing assets and the coordination of capital projects. You will need to lead a dedicated team of approximately 17 staff members as well as work cooperatively with operations peers to achieve acceptable and sustainable equipment performance and unit costs. The coordination with maintenance on the prioritisation of maintenance activities and the leading and participating in maintenance planning, prioritisation, scheduling, and backlog reviews is also essential.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualified in Engineering or extensive related field experience is essential for this role, along with significant experience in the mining industry, including experience in large tonnage (>100,000 TPD) operations and advanced knowledge of SAP. You will have superior knowledge of operations and maintenance trades, coupled with proven leadership experience managing cross cultural and cross functional teams. Your experience working in developing countries will set you apart from others.
You will be able to demonstrate a strong focus on safety, a visible leadership and coaching style, the ability to develop productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and willingness to work in a developing country with a team from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
This residentially based position will initially be based in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia then transition to Oyu Tolgoi site, on a Monday to Friday roster.
